Description
This is a pretty unusual lot: a collection of just 6 albums that it took me over 20 years to amass.
The auction is for 6 copies of the same album (The 1973 version of 'The World of David Bowie') and all the sleeves, labels and vinyls are in an array of conditions (ranging from almost mint to 'good'). But as this is not a particularly valuable or rare album that isn't the important issue with this collection.
The rare thing about this collection is that every label is slightly different (see the photos). I am pretty confident that I have now found every different version of this record (but if you know better - and have found other versions – I'd be interested to know). The pictures of the labels have been cut out onto a black background so please don't think that the background is the vinyl; it isn't. I've only isolated them so that the labels are the ONLY thing to concentrate on. I've also shown ONE of the sleeves in full (front and back) and this particular one is in almost MINT condition.
Some of the labels have major differences but others are very subtle (if you study the pics, you'll see them).
I am now reluctantly having to sell these but I won't split these up (it took me long enough to get them) So the winning bid will receive all seven albums.
