THE YARDBIRDS - 'FIVE LIVE YARDBIRDS'
This LP is from a cherished collection of Blues/R&B vinyl owned by a 1960's R&B musician we now have the pleasure of selling.
More LPs will be listed as auctions & fixed price over the coming few weeks.
Recorded at the Marquee in London on 20 March 1964, this became the first essential live album of the 1960's.
Captured in superb sound quality which is matched by the performance of one of the greatest live groups of the decade.
This is an original UK 1st mono pressing on the blue/black Columbia label: 33SX 1677
Matrix numbers: XAX 2725-1N & XAX 2726-1N
Stamper codes: 1/H & 1/O
Vinyl weight: 152g
Housed in a front-laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover & original rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Disc:
Visual: VERY GOOD
Clean & glossy with some light hairlines and paper marks consistent with frequent play. Some old tape adhesive is present on the side 1 label.
Audio: VERY GOOD +
Despite frequent play, this is a great sounding example which is free from any groove wear or crackle. The excitement of the performance really shines through and apart two clicks on during the final applause on side 2, there is little to fault on this electrifying album.
