The Zombies Odessey And Oracle 1969 Stereo Repress Date VG+/VG.


For auction is a great listeners copy of Odessey And Oracle by English rock band, The Zombies. Their second studio album released in April 1968. Despite its subpar reviews upon its release, Odessey And Oracle has since gained a cult following and has been reevaluated by many critics to now be considered a classic. These retrospective reviews feel that the record was very important to the 1960s hippie subculture and was a huge influence on psychedelic rock. The album contains the classics, “Care of Cell 44”, “Butcher’s Tale (Western Front 1914)” and the popular, “Time of the Season”. The latter was a huge hit in the US that reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is an iconic psychedelic anthem. The album was ranked #243 on Rolling Stones list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020. This copy is a 1969 stereo repress.


Vinyl is play graded VG+. Some very light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with faint background noise that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.


Cover is in VG condition. It is still in shrink although it is torn off in some parts. In the top right corner of front and about a third of the back on left side. Also has wear on the two right side corners on open edge. No splits and title is fully legible. Stains on back. Please see pics.
