THE ZOMBIES Odessey And Oracle.
This is a great copy of The Zombies 1968 Incredibly rare masterpiece, its a original SIGNED uk 1st STEREO pressing on the orange CBS lable: S 63280. Signed on the front cover by both original members Rod Argent and Collin Blunstone on 18th May 2012.
Overlooked on its orginal release but now regarded as one of the finest English pop/psych albums of the era. Recorded at Abbey Road and Olympic Studios between June and November 1967. By the time of the April 1968 release of 'Odessey And Oracle' the Zombies had effectively split-up. This obviously hampered promotion of the album and sales were low as a result.
The Cover
The cover is the 1st press E.J day cover with art work by Terry Quirk, Released in "flipback" cover with the front laminated only.The cover is solid and the spine is readable but it does have wear here and there. It is sellotaped along the edge to prevent fraying which has worked but dosent look to attractive. On the back there is a name written in biro above the gold Stereo sticker. Signatures by band members are written clearly in black marker on the front cover.
The vinyl
This is the 1968 orange CBS Stereo release of this very rare LP. The vinyl surfaces do have marks on both sides. There are no nasty scratches but there are surface scratches and light scuffing.
