Sayarim
Rangers is an Israeli war film from 1967 directed by Micha Shagir based on a script by Avraham Hefner and cinematography by Yachin Hirsch . The script is partially based on a real case from 1954 of a patrol squad that infiltrated Hebron to catch a wanted infiltrator. Micha Shagir chose for the role of the sought-after infiltrator, Sobhai, Yossi Ohana, a disco owner in Jerusalem who is not an actor, but has the right facial expression for the role and does not utter a word throughout the film.
The music was composed by Sasha Argov and the soundtrack of the film has two songs to the words of Yaron London :
"Amichai" sung by the Four Rangers and became a hit .
"Ballad of Rangers" sung by Yehoram Gaon .
The film was ahead of its time and was not successful in the period after the Six Day War.
