Description

Up for auction is an original and complete UK pressing LP of STICKY FINGERS by The Rolling Stones in nice condition. This is the rare gatefold sleeve version of this Lp which was an error of packaging when it was done at the factory. It is rumoured that only a few hundreds were issued in this configuration. The sleeve is VG++ or EX minus and would grade more if there was not a very small tape repair at the top (hardly visible on picture), spine is great , very nice condition overall. Small Zipper in EXC condition Original insert in EXC condition. The vinyl is in VG+ condition with a couple of very light scratches on each side and a few hairlines (non visible on pictures) The matrix N° are as follow : COC 59100 A4 - side one COC 59100 B3 - side two
AUDIO :  The playback is nice with minimal background noise and it provides a nice listening experience even if it doesn't play mint (it's 46 years old!) I grade it VG+. I've noted some light background noise and a few pops on "Wild Horses". I'm sure a good cleaning would improve the audio. If you buy this Lp to play it, it's very acceptable and this is the original sound, the way it was meant to heard back in the day. Nothing to do with later or nowadays pressings. (played on a high quality turntable - Clearaudio Concept).
