Thee Midniters, always managed to be the headliners everywhere they performed. They had the sound, image, showmanship and charisma to do so. Their musical style was a mix of r&b, ballads and British invasion music. Little Willie G. & Thee Midniters made several albums and many singles that were very popular, particularly in Southern California. Their version of “Land of a Thousand Dances” reached #67 on the national charts and they enjoyed several local and regional hits. The fact that many of their recordings have been bootlegged to this day, both on vinyl and CD, is a testament to the popularity of their music.They played from Chanclso Hall to the Big Union!What people are saying about Their memories:

“It was 1965. The Summer of Love (1967) was 2 years away. The summer of 1965 belonged to all of the young Chicano bands collectively known as The East L.A. Revue. At least that's what they were billed as when they played the Roller Gardens in Oxnard. They were all there, Thee Midniters, Cannibal & The Headhunters, The Premieres, and the Salas Bros. with the Jaguars Band. I was 16 as was my sweetie, Joyce Savala. Oh what a night! Memories are made of stuff like this. The dancing, the laughing, the friendships. Did I mention the tears? Yeah, the tears: Lil' Willie G stole my girlfriend that night.”

All of a sudden, word was Willie G and Thee Midniters were going to the big "O" in Eagle Rock, THE LAND OF A THOUSAND DANCES. Enchingas, everyone carpooled: to the 60, the 5, to the 110 - THAT'S ALL. Exciting: clear distant stars, romantic air and a family spirit warmed the night; DREAMING CASUALLY. We were going to see the Midniters. Didn't see Thee Midniters. We partied with Thee Midniters. We sang, danced y quien sabe. Had a ball. Young faces, older smiles; flashing back, a new love for God, great hope for all - actors, artists, lovers and friends. EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEBODY.
