Description

Thelonious Monk (with Thad Jones, Charlie Rouse, Arthur Taylor, Sam Jones) 5 BY MONK BY 5.  Riverside 12-305, recorded 1959.  silver-on-blue deep groove. jacket and disc were drilled in center.  Disc plays well:  NM with no real issues. Jacket is perfect but for the drill hole.

Here’s the fourteenth of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well.  Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence.
