Description
An incredible find! Original pressing of Thelonious Monk"Blue Note 5002 "Genius of modern music" from 1952. This is an original pressing. The label is NM or better and looks perfect. (orig deep groove, flat edge, with Lexington Ave address, and EAR in dead wax) The record is VG++ and has only a few scuffs and some light tiny scratches or marks none feelable and none that detract from listening to it.The record sounds awesome like Blue Notes do but there is some occasional pops and clicks during the quiet passages. It plays perfect no skips and has all or most of the original gloss of a new record. Let me say that some may consider this a NM record but I rather list it conservatively. I definitely think it is better than VG+ but not quite NM. You will be pleased with the condition of the vinyl. The cover VG+ has some scotch tape around the edges. It has the beginning of a seam split in several places but no real seam splits and some edge marks. You can see the cover in the picture.
