Description
This was Thelonious Monk, third album for Riverside and the first to include his own music. This LP has the RARE White Label with Blue Print. Riverside BIP 12-226, has original inner sleeve. Players include Sonny Rollins who is feature "Tenor Sax" on the title track, which was so difficult to play that the final version had to be edited together from multiple takes. Also include Ernie Henry, Clark Terry with Oscar Pettiford and Max Roach. I played once to confirm quality and condition.
Using the Goldmine Standard for Grading:
GRADE/COVER: VG++, no scratches, spine is solid, small "dent on lower right corner, slight "dirt" mark on front of cover. Both of these are very minor.
GRADE/RECORD: VG++ very minor surface noise on some tracks, other are free of noise, no scratches.
