Description
The disc is in near mint condition and plays perfectly, without jumps. The run offs are stamped SBPG 62173 1Y * 1 // 420 and 2Y * 1 // 420 respectively.
The partially laminated outer sleeve is sound, without tears or scratches. Six small, very shallow creases and a very faint partial ring mark on the front. A 4mm split at the bottom of the slot. Very few small faint stains throughout.
Titles: Hackensack, Tea For Two, Criss-Cross, Eronel, Rhythm-A-Ning, Don`t Blame Me, Think Of One, Crepescule With Nellie.
Personnel: Monk piano, Charlie Rouse tenor, Frankie Dunlop drums, John Ore bass. Recorded at 30th Street Studio, New York, 31 Oct - 6 Nov.1962 (Titles for "Monks Dream" recorded at same sessions)
This was the band I saw at Birmingham Town Hall in May 1961. The bill was shared with Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers. Happy days!
