Thelonious Monk Genius of Modern Music Blue Note BLP 5002 MONO 767 Lexington Avenue MONO 10" original pressing with Art Blakey, Milt Jackson, Danny Quebec, Gene Ramey and Shadow Wilson. This is not a perfect EP as it has some light scratches on Side 1, one can slightly be felt and may cause a light tic while the needle passes over it, this is on Side 2, Side 1 has a few unfeelable light hair marks and is not too bad. LP will be safely rated as VG- although one side (Side 1) plays better than the other. This item will be sold AS IS due to the light scratches on Side 2 and is not returnable for any reason. That being said this is a classic original pressing EP from 1947 and is so collectible, see all the photos above for tune names and balance of personnel. Milt Jackson, Danny Quebec, Art Blakey, Idrees Sulieman and Gene Ramey all present. Superb music and well worth picking this one up, even with a few light flaws. Cover is VG+. Would be priced much higher if not for the few light scratches.
