Description
Both labels have 203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J. address. Deep groove on both sides with "RVG" initails in the dead wax, no "ear". Stamped "Preview Copy" in red on the back cover. Monk, piano, on all 7 tracks. Includes 2 takes of "Think Of One". 3 tracks from 1953 also include Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Julius Watkins, French horn; Percy Heath, bass; Willie Jones, drums. 4 tracks recorded in 1954 also include Frank Foster, tenor sax; Ray Copeland, trumpet; Curly Russell, bass; Art Blakey, drums.
