Description
This is Jazzland Records JLP 946S Thelonious Monk With John Coltrane, a black label, original stereo issue. The record is in VG++ condition with light surface marks (mostly paper sleeve marks) which do not effect the play, which is quiet throughout. The only exception is the solo piano piece which manifests occasional light crackle, but no distortion or interference with the enjoyment of the music. The labels are excellent with very light spindle marks. The original cover has a 1" split on the top seam, and a 4" split on the bottom, but is otherwise excellent and intact. This is a wonderful collector's grade copy of this classic piece. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP2.
