Description
We are thrilled and honoured to be offering for sale a number of items from the late Stan Tracey's own personal collection on behalf of his son Clark Tracey. This includes many extremely rare albums, some purchased by Stan during his time in New York, plus test pressings and other gems collected over his lifetime as a musician and composer.
Thelonious Monk Plays The Music Of Duke Ellington. A rare UK 1956 1st Press mono released on the London Records American Jazz Recordings Red/Silver label. Catalogue No. LTZ U-15019.
Matrix No AUL-348/349-1B Degritter cleaned, the vinyl has retained a good glossy sheen with some light scuffs. It plays well with vibrant sound and occasional background noise.
The sleeve is solid, really good for the age, with a small tear to the rear opening and some light laminate lift ( see photos)
The inner sleeve is Emitex type.
