This is an investment-grade copy of The Thelonious Monk Quartet’s landmark album, Monk’s Dream. An authentic 1963 original US first-year Stereo pressing, proudly featuring the iconic Columbia Records "2-Eye" label the highly sought Black "360 SOUND".
Mastered during Columbia’s legendary all-tube (valve) engineering era, this specific release is a holy grail for audiophiles, delivering a rich, holographic midrange warmth and punchy dynamics that modern reissues simply cannot replicate.
The dead wax tells the complete story of its pedigree, stamped with the primary Side A matrix code XSM 58382-2K and Side B matrix code XSM 58383-2E, alongside the distinct "P"stamp from Columbia’s revered Pitman Pressing Plant and the small "o" mark indicating master metalwork from the elite Customatrix plating division.
