Pretty great laid back folkyish hippyish psych from a Hawaiian band recorded in 1973. A magical dreamy laid back trip through the undeveloped Hawaiian jungle, lovely female vocals, unusual almost ISB-like song structures and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, tremendous album which I would keep myself if I didn‘t own an original pressing. Original copies are of course extremely rare these days, and even this reissue isn’t sighted everyday.
This reissue LP came from a large collection of reissue’s which I came across. Most of these were only played once, to record, and all were extremely well cared for.
The sleeve is in Excellent condition, at least, I could probably get away with a higher grade without any questions but I always grade conservatively. The front cover is fine with no tears, no writing, no creasing, no ringwear or any other type of wear, the only thing is a slight circular indentation where the record sits which could, if care is not taken, turn into some ringwear.
The rear sleeve is in equally fine condition with no damage or wear of any type..
Both top and bottom seams are totally unworn, as is the spine which has all of the writing clearly readable.
Both labels are clean and are free from any sort of damage.
The record itself is also in great shape. It’s very clean with a nice dark reflective shine. There are no visible surface marks anywhere, even when held under a very harsh lamp. The sound, which is quite delicate at times, is clear and clean with a lovely fault free playback. No groovewear, no distortion, no jumping or sticking, no pops, clicks or crackles, even between tracks is pretty much silent. This good quality reissue has obviously not been played much and is a good way to hear a fine LP without shelling out the money for an original copy.
