They Might Be Giants Vinyl LP 1986 A-HAON 002 BAR/NONE Records First Pressing.
This is the first pressing of They Might Be Giants debut album from 1986 on BAR/NONE Records.
** First Pressing Indication **
This original 1986 first press does not have a UPC bar code image on the reverse of the cover over the BAR/NONE records logo. The 1987 repress came with UPC bar code on the back cover.
Album is in good shape. Plays great. Listened to record in its entirety. No jumps, hangs, skips, or warp. There are a few minor hair line scratches as shown in photos. Also noticed some soft clicks, every now and then. After a close look and only visible with the ring light, (which you will see I circled in red in the photos), there are some very tiny surface pimples. This was most definitely a manufacturing/pressing defect. Sound is not a loud crack pop like a deep surface scratch, but more of a typical and occasional static click.
Revord has original shrink wrap, and record comes with poly sleeve. The price sticker is dated ‘87, but this is indeed a first pressing.
Outer cover is in great shape with slight corner and edge wear. One inch of bottom right corner of shrink wrap is torn.
Album comes with original lyric insert.

I use a ring light to highlight any noticeable scuffs or scratches in my vinyl auctions. Also helps to better highlight the runout etchings, which will indicate the exact version of the release.
I listen to all the albums prior to auction and will reference any jumps, skips, warps, repeats, etc. Or anything that will effect play in my listing. I will also always indicate in my description any deep scratching that would invoke a loud pop in the audio during playback.
I also don’t use any disc cleaning or disc washing system. So any residual dust or smudges have not been removed.
With that being said, I want to be as clear and honest to the exact condition of each listing, and depict any imperfections as well as I can with the ring light.
