Payment Thin Edison Unissued Test Pressing-Ermine Calloway
I'm nearly 100% confident that one of the two sides of this shellac thin electric Edison test pressing is unissued, but I'm not certain which one.
Ermine Calloway sings (in Helen Kane style) the same song but totally different renditions, doing "What Did 'Ja Wanna Make Me Love You For."
One side of this 78rpm disc is matrix N-885-F and the reverse is matrix N-885-G.
Rust's Jazz Records shows that matrix N-885 was recorded on May 8, 1929, but rejected. Matrix N-885 was used again on June 5, 1929, but this time issued (thin Edison 14024). No takes are indicated in either case.
She is accompanied on both sides by a small Jazz Band, including a nice guitar solo.
The record is in excellent (E) condition, with a couple of isolated ticks on the G take. The perimeter edges are rough and jagged, as if some factory de-burring operation was overlooked or not bothered with.
Note-if anyone owning the issued thin Edison 14024 could look at the run-off and let me know the matrix number and take, it might help to clear up my confusion.

A top collector has informed me that he has the issued thin Edison 14024, and that it is take-F. This SUGGESTS at least, that take-G may be unissued.
