Produced by the legendary Tony Visconti (famous for his definitive work with David Bowie and T. Rex), Bad Reputation stands as one of the fiercest, most cohesive sonic achievements in the Thin Lizzy catalog. It beautifully balances the band’s signature twin-guitar attack with Phil Lynott’s poetic, street-smart songwriting. The record features their massive, infectious global hit "Dancing in the Moonlight (It's Caught Me in Its Spotlight)," alongside the heavy, blistering title track "Bad Reputation" and the hard-rock fan favorite "Opium Trail."
Because this copy has remained completely undisturbed in its original 1977 factory shrink wrap for nearly five decades, the heavy analog vinyl inside is guaranteed to be in unplayed, immaculate Mint (M) condition. Cut from the absolute earliest generation master tapes by legendary lacquer-cutting engineer Gilbert Kong, this vintage analog pressing carries his highly coveted "G.K." inscription in the unexposed deadwax. Pro-collectors actively hunt his mastering work for its unmatched, thunderous bass response and blazing guitar transients that compressed modern digital streaming simply cannot replicate.
