Description

Here’s “Third Power” on Vanguard, a nice original, VSD 6554, featuting Jem Targal.  One of the best 60s heavy psych LPs.  I hate to part with this, but that roof I bought with the eBay auction back in October ended up going about $1000 over budget so I’m raising a few more dollars…

Here’s my Acid Archives review:

This is certainly one of the very best heavy psych albums, and also one of the best albums on Vanguard. It’s wild, frantic, surprising, diverse and uncompromised. The guitar playing is restrained and subtle in places, but blasts out with a fury when it needs to. On the slower songs the singing is downright eerie. As with all great albums, it isn’t just the sound and energy that kill, but the songwriting, which is great throughout. “Feel So Lonely,” which starts out slow and drifty, but adds intensity as it goes along, is my favorite, but the rest aren’t far behind. As with the Highway Robbery album, the ballads are as good as the rockers. [AM]

Cover is EX with a punchout hole and the tiniest beginnings of ringwear as seen in scan.  LP a lovely EX with one tiny scuff, plays beautifully.  Reserve is reasonable--less than the final sale price of the copies I've seen on eBay in the last few years.

Postage:  Postage in the US is $2.50 media mail or $6.00 priority for one or two LPs.   Canada is $7.00 for one LP.  For larger orders I’ll weigh the LPs and send you a quote.  Europe is $12 for the first LP, $3 for each additional.  Asia and Australia are $13.50 for the first, $3 for each additional.   Insurance is only available in the United States.  Overseas LPs can not be insured past the US border and are, as always, sent at the buyer’s risk.  In the US, insurance if requested is $1.30 for $50, $2.20 for $100, and a dollar for each hundred above that.  I mail LPs in poly bags separated from the cover to prevent seam splitting in the mail.  If you do not want them sent that way, please contact me and tell me so.  I always use cardboard boxes with cardboard liners, and have never had any record damaged in the mail.

Payment:  I accept paypal, money order, cashier’s check (in the US), and as a last resort, cash.  If you desire to pay by check, please let me know ahead of time.

Please e-mail me if you have questions about any of the albums or my grading scale.
