Artist: TAL FARLOW
Title: “This Is Tal Farlow”
Label: VERVE. Label is flat black with silver text. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl, does not have deep groove. Catalog number is V-8138.
Year: session dates: 1958. early 60s pressing.
Personnel: Tal Farlow – guitar; Bill Takas or Knobby Totah – bass; and Jimmy Campbell – drums.
Note: This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions. These are some wonderful opportunities for the collector who insists on top condition.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, has been played a very small number of times, most likely once or twice, and handled with care. Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity. Labels are clean and pristine.
JACKET: NM. Nice bright artwork, clean white reverse, seams and corners are excellent. There is a very small factory stamp “CO 86” in purple ink on reverse. Overall a beautiful item, you will not find a nicer copy anywhere!
