Thomas Dorsey is considered the Father of Gospel music. This record is considered by some to be the first gospel record, launching a new genre of music that had tremendous impact on pop music.

This record has the older style Vocalion label.

  • The labels are in good condition
  • There is some gloss on the record.
  • Record has surface marks.
  • There is a tiny (sort of) pock mark just to the left of the label on one side (see photo)

This record was purchased about 20 years ago through Good Rockin' Tonight Auctions. The labels on the the protective sleeve are from the auction. The grading of GD - VG 4 is from Good Rockin' Tonight.
