Item Description: Thor's Hammer, or Hljómar, was an Icelandic Rockband primarily active in the 1960s. Outside of Iceland, they are known among music collectors for their rare releases on Parlaphone, sung in English and recorded in London for export. The most famous of these is the 1966 EP Umbarumbamba, Their style can be described as garage rock, fuzz rock, and freakbeat, with noticeable influences from both The Who and The Beatles.
Thor's Hammer should not be confused with the American metal band Thorr's Hammer
Condition: Hey folks - we are not professional record graders but we are music lovers. This vinyl has the appearance and sound of an LP that was barely, if ever, played. We have nothing to report other than the ever-so-slightest of background noises. We do not expect any of you to be disappointed with the sound quality. The cardboard sleeve is also in very wonderful condition. Check it out in the photos. The inner sleeve is that weird paper that dissolves over time. We left it in to keep it in "as found" condition but will be shipping with a different protector as well.
