Description
Monkey Jive were formed in London in 1974 by Dennis Leigh, later to become better known as John Foxx.
They were commissioned to record a cover version of the Fats Waller track "Ain't Misbehavin'" for a film. The single was released in 1975 but the track did not appear in the film. The B-side was Leigh's own song "Monkey Jive". The single was re-released five years later with the tracks reversed when Leigh left Ultravox and went solo under his stage name of Foxx.
Rare enough that I've only seen two copies in 44 years, I acquired this one from a friend in the early-eighties and have stored it ever since. It was probably only played 2-3 times in total. The vinyl looks excellent, the cover has obviously aged but is strong and intact.
