Description
For those who aren't familiar, this recording was produced for demonstration by Timegate Speakers in 1981. An all-star team came together for its production. Mark Levinson provided most of the recording equipment. Famed engineer Peter McGrath did the actual recording. Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk cut the masters, and the pressing was done by Europadisc on the finest Teldec vinyl. This is often considered to be the finest Chamber Music album ever made.
NOTES: This acclaimed audiophile recording of Bach’s Brandenburgs on the Timegate label lists on Arthur Salvatore’s Supreme Recordings as Divinity--his highest category. This record was later heralded by TAS (The Absolute Sound). Of the three pressings, this one with the blue cover and white label is the one Arthur Salvatore preferred.
Anyways >>> The record sleeve is graded VG+ (see pics) nothing horrible, but not super clean.
The vinyl itself is graded EX - Could have been a solid NM, but it has a hairline needle mark on the start of side A. I've played it on my Rega system twice over - it is completely inaudible.
