Visionary and consistently brilliant album of pure electronic music. It is - by turns - futuristic, deeply psychedelic, hissing, whizzing, popping, pulsing, rhythmic, hypnotic, inventive, melodic, rather beautiful, rather strange, but accessible, too. None of the baffling dryness frequently found in early electronic efforts, and absolutely none of the triteness that dates most other late 70s library music - Mr Dockstader knows his onions, and conjures up his otherwordly sounds with care and impeccable taste. The album was issued on the Boosey & Hawkes library label, and was not for sale to the public: it's extremely scarce on vinyl. An essential recording for fans of adventurous electronic music / analogue synthesis / BBC Radiophonic Workshop / Cluster / Eno / Cabaret Voltaire / Nurse With Wound / Aphex Twin / Autechre / Stereolab and so on...
