Description

Tod Dockstader. "Luna Park/Apocalypse/Travelling Music" LP. You are bidding on a rare LP of early compositions by outsider electronic composer Tod Dockstader. Originally a sound engineer in Hollywood, Dockstader started to make these haunting and beautiful electronic pieces as early as the late 1950s. Containing three of his earliest pieces from 1961 issued together, this 1966 Owl record is a great showcase of his early work. Dockstader has been sited as a key influence  by contemporary bands like Vibracathedral Orchestra and Charalambides are heavily indebted to this guy. In fact,  I've seen Jackie O Motherfucker mix some of his ambient noises into some of their live performances. Look him up on wikipedia if you want to know more. Way Out of Print!
