together with GENE LAWRENCE (also titled "Together") This VERY RARE RECORD is a gorgeous and very original sounding fusion of Caribbean flavored Soul, Funk, and light / quirky, folk-pop.
There are some excellent beats and riffs for you sample-minded producer types.
The jacket is G to VG, with shelf-wear, edge-wear, corner wear, sections of the seams are split, cat-claw marks on some edges, but NO writing and NO stickers or other damage. Front and back look basically VG, it's the edges and corners that result in a lesser grade here.
The Vinyl is VISUALLY Graded: it looks VG+. We spot-checked the record for sound quality and there is surface noise throughout the pressing, though it varies in loudness and is not overly obtrusive. Many of the songs are quiet though, and the noise is "even" enough to suggest that mediocre vinyl is at fault here. The recording quality is otherwise fine "D.I.Y." style (IE "home studio" technology), and the highs are crisp and the record decently mastered, considering the pressing. The sound can definitely be "cleaned up" with the proper digital archiving skills and software.
