Description

An important vinyl record titled Tolai Traditional Music from the Gazelle Peninsula published by the Institute of Papua New Guinea Studies in 1977 under the Larrikin Records label.
This is one of a series of vintage musical recordings organised by Ulli Beier, the first Director of IPNGS and father of modern day literature in PNG. Two of his students Jacob Simet and Apisai Enos, both of whom went on to lead distinctive careers in PNG academia and literature, took the lead on the collection and production of this record's contents.

ln excellent condition, the LP is accompanied by a album note booklet with information on each track. Photos, sketches and maps are included.
