Description

UPDATE :-   Haiti is back in the news as i'm sure you are all aware. Now they have a Cholera epidemic  to       contend with.  Tent City didn't hold out too much against the Hurricane onslaught either.                             This record is the first Tom Russell outing from 1972. Tom doesn't particularly like this recording and doesn't often talk about it. He very begrugingly allowed the B-Side to appear on his "Museum Of Memories 1972-2002" album. This quote from Tom originaly came from his own website but has since been removed. "One of the first songs i wrote as a member of 'Skid Row's Finest Band', Mule Train, in Vancouver B.C. It owes a  little to Commander Cody's style, and to my working six sets a night in a topless bar on skid row. Financed by a  well known porn king and put on 500 of his jukeboxes. Promptly removed by Mothers Against Drugs And Drunk Driving. So the 500 copies rotted in a Chinese warehouse". The A-side has still never been reissued. I have been buying on eBay now for many years and have over a thousand positive feedbacks. There is a reason why i have opened a new account with eBay to sell rather than use my existing account. I have in the last year or so returned to my Christian belief. I want to follow what is scriptual in disposing of what, quite honestly, has been a bit of a millstone around my neck. One day i looked around at all the many thousand items that filled two rooms and came to a dawning realisation that i had no idea what 90% of all this stuff was. I mean, i could go and buy something, play it once, log it, and that was the last i ever saw of it. So, this has handed me a golden opportunity to turn around this situation into something positive. I usually find something to say about what i am selling along with a track listing for albums. I hope that my passion and love for these items shines through occasionally amongst my rambling. So why would i want to just give them away. Simple, my love for Jesus as my redeemer is even greater. Matthew chapter 6 verses 1-4 explains the reason for a new eBay account whilst Matthew chapter 19 verses 16-21 gives my explanation for giving the lot to the Haiti Hospital Appeal. S O, D I G D E E P A N D B I D H I G H!!!! and keep watching as there lots of serious stuff to come (Unreleased Gram Parsons acetate, a couple of hundred Westwood one type radio shows, unreleased Townes Van Zandt acetate and hundreds more of similar ilk).
