Up for auction is a factory sealed, limited edition, vinyl box set of Tom Waits' "Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards." This edition is long out of print. I ordered this directly from the Tom Waits Anti- site when it was available for pre-order in 2009. Some copies of the initial "limited edition" are autographed by Waits. A limited number of other copies came with a special vinyl single, including the songs "Lie to Me" and "Crazy About My Baby." This 7-disc vinyl box set of the album was released on December 8, 2009. This set contains six additional tracks not found on the CD version. The seam of the cellophane split which caused a tear in the plastic and the card slip-sheet insert that was included on the outside rear of the set was put in upside down when it was sealed in the factory. The integrity of the cellophane is still in tact....just some minor splitting. The box set comes with a thick box outer jacket, then an equally thick inner box which slips into that, seven records in their own specially designed sleeves, a 32-page lyrics and photographs / illustrations 12"x12" book, and a card slip-sheet of song listings that was featured on the back of the set when sealed.

I will have one other rare Waits item up for auction soon...I used to manage a record store and when Bone Machine was released, Island sent out promotional, fully-licensed Bone Machine shirts. I have one, never worn, that will be up for auction soon.
