Tom Waits Orphans [Vinyl] Rare LP Box Set. Condition is Used - excellent / near mint!

This exceptional vinyl box set sells for $500+ at lots of dealers.

It includes 7 full length LPs, including 6 additional bonus tracks not on the CD version and a deluxe 12" liner notes booklet with lyrics. The beautifully designed booklet reproduces Tom's lyrics in the style of a book of old poetry, and includes never before seen photos.

This collection goes beyond a simple career retrospective, with over thirty songs, from his own versions he gave to other artists to things recorded in the garage with his kids. Also includes Tom's unique interpretations of songs by such diverse talents as The Ramones, Daniel Johnston, Kurt Weill & Bertolt Brecht, and Leadbelly. Seperated into 3 collections, "Brawlers" is chock full of raucous blues and full-throated juke-joint stomp, "Bawlers" contains Celtic and country ballads, waltzes, lullabies, piano, and classic lyrical Waits' songs, while "Bastards" is filled with experimental music, stories, and jokes.

I bought this set when it first came out and it’s been on the shelf ever since as I just don’t get to listen to vinyl that often. I’m moving and making space so this one needs a good home.

eBay photos obviously won’t show the details of a record, but I can say these 180g LPs are absolutely fantastic. Everything comes in original unmarried pink sleeves in their respective paper sleeve as well. All of those are tucked into a beautiful slipcase. All of this has been stored in quality conditions in my apartment on a bookshelf with other albums. The outer box shows minor shelf wear.
