Tony Benjamin And The Sane Inmates, "African Rebel", this LP from former Reggae Regular member Tony Benjamin was one of the earliest full length releases from Ariwa, (ARILP 009), it came out in the early 1980s before Ariwa had taken off and just when the music was changing, hence it sank without trace and this was the only pressing, with perhaps just a few hundred pressed up, a really hard to find LP.

The music on this album is a pretty even mix of Roots and Lovers, but it's quality throughout, produced by the Mad Professor the Dub versions are to be found on his "Dub Me Crazy" LP.

Visually both sides have a few light scuffs and the odd very, very light scratch/mark, nothing deep or nasty.

"Africa Is Zion" plays well with just a touch of slight surface noise.

"We Are His Children" plays really well with minimal surface noise.

"Germ Warfare" plays really well, minimal surface noise.

"Psychological Pen" plays well, just a hint of surface noise.

"Hotter the Battle" plays extremely well, minimal surface noise.

"Reasoning" has a slight touch of surface noiseat the start otherwise it plays with minimal surface noise.

"Treasures In The World" plays well, just a touch of surface noise and one tiny crackle.

"Let Love Come In" plays very well minimal surface noise.

"Black Woman" plays well minimal surface noise.

"That's Love!" plays well just a little slight surface noise/crackle.

Other than a few spindle marks the hand stamped labels are excellent.

The sleeve has light wear around the edges particularly to the bottom right hand corner  which is worn and there's a tiny, (4mm), tear on the opening. The sleeve also has some creases, scratches and is very slightly dirty.
