Tony Coe & The Lansdowne String Quartet. Black label with silver label with "Columbia" in blue. The record was supervised by Denis Preston and is part of the Lansdown Series. Tony Coe, reeds, featured with the Lansdowne String Quartet on all 9 tracks. Personnel that comprise the String Quartet is listed on the back cover. In addition to the Quartet the following musicians are added: Dennis Bowden, bass; Bill Le Sage, piano/vibes; Barry Morgan, drums. The Quartet + the above mentioned additional musicians + Coe are featured on 4 tracks. In addition to this group 1 track includes Coe on clarinet and tenor sax with Tommy Whittle, tenor sax and Monte Babson, bongos; 1 track includes Moe Miller, French horn and 1 track includes Tommy Whittle, tenor sax with the augmented String Quartet; 1 tracks includes Coe with the augmented Quartet; 1 track has Coe and Miller with the augmented Quartet. Very rare.
Cover: Mint(-) Soft European jacket. Intact and clean with slight aging on thhe back cover. Minor cover wear.
Record: Mint Visually shows no wear. Possibly played only a very few times with care. No surface noise. Plays as new. Audibly checked.
