Description
For sale we have Tony Kinsey's 'An Evening With Tony Kinsey' Ember EMB3337 1st Press Jazz LP from 1961. The LP is considered to be very rare among enthusiasts and would make a welcome addition to the discerning Jazz listeners vinyl collection. "An Evening With Tony Kinsey" features Tubby Hayes playing throughout with Bill Le Sage on piano and/vibes, Jimmy Deuchar on trumpet and Lennie Bush on bass. Tony Kinsey was a key figure in British post-war modern jazz and as resident band leader at the Flamingo was at the heart of the Soho jazz scene.
The LP has been tested using a Linn LP12 reference turntable and is in very good condition using the guide you will all be familiar with. The vinyl displays VERY light marks, suggesting it has been played rarely. There is the odd pop and click which would be expected with a 50 year old record. The record plays through entirely with no jumps or distortion. Similarly the laminated flipback sleeve is in very good condition. The laminate has lifted in several places but is still in good overall condition. There is very minimal discolouration to the rear and very slight creasing. The record has been professionally cleaned.
Postage will be recorded in the UK and we prefer to post overseas using 'International signed for' delivery. All of our records are sent out in strong record mailers with stiffeners and all that jazz to ensure it reaches you in the same condition it left us.
We are an independent record store in the North East of England and pride ourselves on our 100% feedback. Please check our other listings for more rare Jazz records.
