Description

SLEEVE SOMEWHER IN BETTWEN (G & G+): Original German Polydor sleeve. Shows light record indentation and some wear at the top opening with small waves/wrinkles. Corners remain sharp. Two split seams: bottom split approx. 1 5/8", right-side split approx. 2 1/4". No writing or stickers.

VINYL (VG): Under strong light, Side 1 shows 3 super‑light hairlines at 3 o’clock and a patch of light sleeve scuffing around 4 o’clock. These marks required twisting/angling under bright light to see. Side 2 has two small sleeve scuffs at about 2 o’clock. Record retains good shine and plays well.

LABELS (VG+): Both labels are clean with no writing, no stickers, and very light spindle wear. Looks well cared for.

NOTES: Classic early Tony Sheridan single featuring The Beatles as the backing band (credited as “The Beat Brothers”). Great player copy of a historically important 45.

Tony Sheridan is connected to The Beatles in a very direct, historic, and collectible way

The Beatles were his backing band in Hamburg (1961–1962)

When they were still unknown teenagers playing clubs in Hamburg, Germany, they were hired to back Tony Sheridan in the studio. On early releases, they were billed as “The Beat Brothers”
