Description

Although the 2012 death of No Use for a Name frontman Tony Sly was unexpected, his influence in the punk world meant that it was anything but unnoticed. On The Songs of Tony Sly: A Tribute, the reach of the singer/songwriter is showcased by the incredible lineup of musicians paying tribute to his legacy with their own renditions of his work. Featuring covers from punk contemporaries like NOFX, Bad Religion, the Bouncing Souls, and Pennywise, as well as relative newcomers he influenced like Yellowcard and the Gaslight Anthem, The Songs of Tony Sly: A Tribute is just that, providing all the proof anyone would ever need that Tony Sly will be missed by many, and forgotten by none. ~ Gregory Heaney
