Description
This is an outstanding mint copy of the stellar 1971 double album put together by Keith and Julie Tippet and featuring the absolute cream of the British Jazz scene of the time. Consider the following: Elton Dean (alto), Mark Charig (cornet), Gary Windo (tenor), John Marshall (drums), Dudu Pukwana (alto), Ian Carr (flugel horn), Alan Skidmore (tenor), Robert Wyatt (drums) and many more. This is British orchestral jazz at its peak and an album you really cannot afford to be without. This is the original pressing not the 1974 reissue!
The two records are graded mint and look as if they have hardy ever been played. The gatefold cover is pristine on the inside, as the photo shows, and a little discoloured on the white outside. On the front, in the top right hand corner, under the ‘Neon’ logo, there is a slight mark of discolouration where there was a small rectangular sticker. The spine has retained its original form. I would therefore grade it as very good ++.
This album is much sought after so don’t miss out. Note the exceptionally low starting price!

The cover and any other items are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc + or - indicates a grading in between categories
