Toshi Ichiyanagi- Opera from the works of Tadanori Yokoo (1969) THE END TY-1001-1002 (JAPAN) 2LP folder cover with 2 pages LP size insert
visual grade: M-, no scuffs visible play grade: plays great, mostly Vg++
side A: light background crackle/noise audible for around 1 min. at the beginning (Vg/Vg+), all the rest of the side plays Vg++ side B: very light background crackle/noise audible at the beg for 30/40 seconds (Vg+), rest plays Vg++ side C: plays great Vg++ side D: some light background crackle/noise audible on track 1 (Vg/Vg+), 2nd track plays perfect Vg++ labels: picture disks
cover: INTACT, all insert are intact, no writings/no stickers/no tears, just a couple of small corners wear (top right and left), spine is perfect, HEAVY folder cardboard cover in fantastic shape ! Vg+ conservative grading
comments: The record from ex Yoko Ono's husband (married from 1956 to 1963) and Fluxus member Toshi Ichiyanagi (he also studied with John Cage), the music (rec. in 1968 !) is very varied: from electro-acoustic stuff, to field rec. to deep psychedelic sounds from legendary The Flowers (before adding Travellin' Band; the band was initially started as a side-project by Yuya Uchida when he returned to Japan after visiting his friend John Lennon in England in the mid 1960s...). the artworks by the great Tadanori Yokoo (Miles Davis) on front, inside cover panel and pic disks are simply stunning ! lavish/deluxe production (It'll surely had not been a cheap deal to press/print this double affair) and for sure one of the most beautiful records/artefact coming out of Japan... rare, especially in such a fine condition (101% original)
