Description
Hi, you are bidding on Our Mother the Mountain, the second album by the legendary Texas singer/songwriter Townes Van Zandt. The album was originally released in 1969 by Poppy Records. This copy is from the Tomato Records reissue of 1978, catalog number TOM-7015. The record is in very good condition. There are no scratches or scuffs; however, there is light surface noise, particularly between tracks on side A. There are three light pops - one each on "Kathleen," "Like a Summer Thursday," and "St. John the Gambler."
The record jacket is in very good condition. It has ring wear at the bottom of both sides. There is a saw cut on the bottom edge, near the opening. The spine and upper and lower edges have light wear; however, the album information is clearly visible on the spine. There is a price sticker on the upper right front. The inside liner, which contains the Lola Scobe biography and the list of Townes' other Tomato Records's releases, is torn down one edge. I have included it, but have put the record in a new liner.

The version of "Tecumseh Valley" on this album is much much better than on the previous recording, and has the lyrics that we have come to know and love.
