2 vintage reel-to-reel tapes
These reel-to-reel tapes are part of a large collection purchased in an estate sale. All the tapes are from the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The dates are written on stickers on the spine of the box, and details such as setlists are on the back (see pics).
These tapes feature material by Townes Van Zandt, including a performance at Bunky's in Madison, WI on 4/23/78. The other tape box lacks information, so not sure what the material is on there--likely another live show or an album, possibly the second half of the Bunky's show, possibly something rare. Your guess is as good as mine.
I have not play tested these tapes (I do not own a working reel-to-reel player) and I am referencing the sticker on the box and/or on the reel to indicate what is on them. They appear to have been stored very safely and appear to be in excellent shape for their age. The labels are peeling off but can be re-secured with tape. The Scotch box also shows quite a bit of wear.
