Description

From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this classic piece of UK psych/prog rock music history. TWO (2) TEST PRESSINGS from influential UK band, Traffic Traffic. TEST PRESSING. You Can All Join In / Withering Tree. ACETATE Australian pressing?? 1968. Festival Custom Recording label. No cat number. You Can All Join In from the 1968 self-titled album. Withering Tree from the Last Exit LP (1969). This single was released in the UK, Sweden and France. Two Australian singles released in 1967, including Hole In My Shoe, on Festival PLUS Traffic. Gimme Some Lovin’ Part 1 /  Gimme Some Lovin’ Part 2 TEST PRESSING. May well have been pressed for Australia as this single was released through Island Records in Australia in 1971, cat number IK-4464. Record in Very Good Plus condition, some scuffs and minor scratches that don’t affect play. Issued to EP-sized version of the Welcome To The Canteen LP cover from 1971, from which the single comes from. SHIPPING: In these COVID times, there have been problems with international shipping from Australia beyond slow, or no, air mail. I’ve had a parcel to the UK damaged and another that was diverted from air mail to sea mail and, three months later, appears no closer to reaching Europe. Until things improve, I’m shifting to Express Air Mail. More expensive but if you’re bidding for a record you want to enhance the probability of getting it in good order. The other option is for Standard Air Mail but buyer pays for full insurance and the correct value of the record is noted on the customs form, which some buyers have been reluctant to do in the past. Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities including RARE 1950s and 1960s Australian rock and garage singles, LPs, TEST PRESSINGS and ACETATES and so much more. NOTE: FOR THOSE OF YOU WONDERING, EBAY HAS SUDDENLY DECIDED THAT THE TERM “TEST PRESSING” CAN NOW NO LONGER BE USED IN THE DISCRIPTIONS. WHY? NO IDEA.
