Description
This is a very rare UK pink island first pressing on the textured matt pink eye label by the UK progressive group Tramline titled "somewhere down the line" from 1968.
It features mick moody playing some great blues guitar especially on the track "national blues". mick moody later went on to fame with whitesnake. It was produced by chris blackwell. They later produced a second album but it was nowhere near as good as this. If you are after an ex/ex copy then read no further as this is not ex/ex and has been played a lot.
The disc is on side 1 has a small scratch that pops loud for 10 seconds [it does not skip], it is over the last couple of seconds of track 2 and first couple of seconds of track 3. Also half way through track 3 there is a cluster of small scratches that cause pops loud but does not skip for just over 1 minute. I have timed these and played it on a linn sondek to give you accurate information. There are no further scratches on the LP but there are some superficial surface marks. THe rest of the disc plays ok but there is occasional background noise as i said before it has been played a lot.
Both the labels are fine with no writing or tears or marks.
The fully laminated cover has a lot of wear comprising a lot of creases on it on both front and back. On the top seam there was a split in the middle and at the opening both these splits have been repaired from the inside. The back cover bottom left has agewear [see photos].
