1 sided 33rpm transcription  plays from the inside out.
On the dead wax is written: (Prod: 1300 "METROPOLITAN"  ALICE BRADY  SINGING GYPSY LOVE SONG from CARMEN 567-568-569 Wax No. 1338)
This is quite a number of takes broken down into 3 parts. I believe she  is supposed to hit a sour note in the take because she keeps hitting it & it is to bad to keep hitting it that badly every time.At first though I really  thought she was hitting that terrible note because she was obviously really is having a number of other problems. This is quite a unique movie nostalgia collectable and a very fun one to share. 
Her & the engineer or director have a number of interchanges him encouraging her saying things like "Alice relax, take it easy." & her saying things like "Oh Hell" & "I got mixed up in my words" etc.

CONDITiON: plays VG to VG-  steady background sound throughout but never anything close to a 

problem hearing the singing, the surface looks rather clean looks VG+ with only a few light surface lines.

UNFORTUNATELY I AM GRADING THIS WITH A RATHER CHEAP MODERN 78 PLAYER. SO IT IS POSSIBLE IF YOU HAVE MORE

APPROPRIATE NEEDLES ETC. YOU MIGHT HAVE EVEN BETTER RESULTS.

Metropolitan Overview

In this musical, opera singer Ghita Galin (Alice Brady) leaves the Metropolitan Opera and starts her own company, enlisting unknown singers like the talented 

but inexperienced Tom Renwick (Lawrence Tibbett). Tom brings along a new friend, Anne (Virginia Bruce), and an old conductor (George Marion Sr.). However,

despite their progress on a new production, Ghita is unpredictable and leaves the company when her voice falters. Now the others must find a large sum of money

 for the show to continue.

GRADING

NM   Near Mint. Record and cover appear virtually unmarked. Cover still in shrink.

VG++ A hair under near mint may have  only a couple of very insignificant surface only lines that should not affect sound. Cover out of shrink otherwise close to perfect.

VG+   A  cared for record. Some surface lines. No actual scratches. May still play perfectly or will have  very slight audible imperfections. Some normal cover wear.

VG…  There will be visual imperfections and  some audible ones . May be a number of surface only lines or there might be a small scratch but not one that  repeats, Cover will

be worn or have some kind of defect. In this condition flaws will be pictured or noted.

VG- .. Usually the lowest rating I will list an LP at. Same as VG but defects are more pronounced.  May have more than 1 scratch but still not one that repeats. This record will still be enjoyable but there will almost definitely be background sound. I have sold many rare 78s and older acetates at this grade and buyers have almost always been quite  pleased. , In this condition flaws will be pictured or noted.

G+: There may be skips or some other major defect or the background sound is so loud that listening might be a chore.

Covers will have major defects that need to be stated.

G: Better to use as a frisbee

I use United States Postal Service. Within the USA in most cases I invoice via media mail. Very expensive or very fragile items such as 78's I prefer shipping via Priority. Unfortunately 1st class mail shipping outside the USA does not include tracking and although it typically takes 2 weeks the Post Office gives no time guarantee and on rare occasions it has taken over a month.

HOW I PACK FOR LPs FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
To keep the price of international shipping of 1 LP at $15.00 I don’t charge for packaging costs but I need to keep the weight within 1lb. I use professional Lp mailers & in addition I usually use a light but hard foam stiffener. Sometimes I will use 1 piece of cardbord. I take the record out of the jacket if there is a possibility it might split.  I don't recall ever having any problems shipping this way. If you would like me to ship differently you must contact me before you pay so I can invoice you for any extras costs.

100% ACCURACY IN GRADING RECORDS IS A JOB FOR SUPERMAN!

At times defects will show up differently on different players.  For instance,

depending on the weight that a tone arm is set at or the quality of the stylus

what is just a pop on one player can sometimes be a skip on another
