Eagerly awaited 3 LP set bundles the legendary rock supergroup's two classic albums - long out of print with a bonus 12" featuring previously unreleased & rare bonus tracks all on 180 Gram high quality vinyl pressed at RTI! "This is the best record of it's kind ever made. Then again, it's also the only record of its kind ever made. . . one of the few rock supergroups actually deserving to be called either super or a group" - Rolling Stone 1988. With a line-up comprised of legendary artists Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty, the Traveling Wilburys were an extraordinary musical phenomenon. The band's all-star configuration came about when they convened at a Southern California studio in 1988 to record a b-side for one of Harrison's singles. They had such a rockin' good time cutting the track "Handle With Care" that they decided to release it as a single under the Wilburys moniker. While the Wilbury "siblings" may have been fictional, the authentic musical brotherhood created by the combustion of these towering talents was anything but. Their camaraderie can be heard in every groove, and Rhino's historic reissue of Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 and Traveling Wilburys 3 (minus Orbison, who passed away in '88) - both out of print for over a decade - has been handled with ultimate care. This ltd ed box will feature three LP's pressed on 180-gram HQ vinyl from RTI, with lacquers cut by acoustech mastering's Kevin Gray. The Collectible 3 LP set Collection features the group's two original albums, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 and Traveling Wilburys 3, plus a bonus 12" with unreleased and rare tracks. Rhino's sonically upgraded reissues, with remastering supervised by Jeff Lynne himself, unveil these historic and exuberant LPs from Dylan, Harrison, Lynne, Orbison, and Petty sounding fresher than ever! The Deluxe box set also contains bonus postcards, extensive book, and a full size vintage design poster and is limited to 15,000 sets worldwide. (UK 5000). The bonus 12" includes extended versions of "Handle With Care" & "End of the Line." The rarities "Runaway" and "Nobody’s Child" & the previous unreleased "Maxine," "Like Ship" & a remix of "Not Alone Any More" - only available on this set.
