The Traveling Wilburys – Volume One (1988)

Original US First Pressing | Factory Sealed | Wilbury Records (9 25796-1)

Up for sale is an exceptional, investment-grade copy of The Traveling Wilburys – Volume One. Released in October 1988, this landmark debut united George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, and Jeff Lynne for one of the most celebrated supergroup sessions in modern rock history, featuring classic cuts like "Handle With Care," "End of the Line," "Heading for the Light," and "Dirty World."

Collector Highlights

• Original 1988 US First Pressing: Authentic late-80s analog pressing on Wilbury Records / Warner Bros. (Catalog # 9 25796-1 / 1-25796).

• True Factory Sealed: Untouched by a needle. Factory shrink wrap remains tight, glossy, and intact with period-correct breathe holes present.

• No Cut-Out Marks or Promo Cuts: Completely clean retail jacket with zero drill holes, saw cuts, clipped corners, or promo ink stamps.

• Rigid, Square Spine: Jacket profile is straight, crisp, and upright with bold, distinct spine lettering.

• Presumed Mint Vinyl: Guaranteed unplayed, factory-fresh virgin vinyl enclosed in its original internal sleeve.

Detailed Condition Assessment

• Vinyl Grade: Mint (M) (Presumed untouched and unplayed).

• Jacket Grade: Near Mint minus (NM-)

• Jacket Assessment: The sleeve is remarkably well-preserved beneath original tight shrink wrap, holding deep, unfaded cover colors and crisp surface gloss. As typical for 35+ year-old shrink-wrapped stock, there is subtle, minor softening at the corner tips and tiny micro-shrink tension at the extreme corner points. Completely flat with zero warpage. Please inspect all high-resolution photos for exact cosmetic details.

Shipping & Returns Policy

Professional Packaging

• Secure Handling: Your record will be shipped in a dedicated, heavy-duty cardboard mailer (LP or 45 specific) with extra cardboard stiffeners to prevent bending or crushing.

• Pro-Tip Protection: To prevent seam splits during transit, all opened records are shipped with the vinyl removed from the jacket (housed in its inner sleeve) and placed behind the jacket within a 4mil clear poly outer sleeve. (Note: For factory-sealed items, the record will remain safely sealed inside its original shrink wrap unless requested otherwise prior to shipping.)

• 45s: 7" records are shipped with the same level of care in dedicated 7-inch mailers.

Fast & Tracked Shipping

• Handling Time: I ship within 1–2 business days of receiving cleared payment.

• Tracking: A tracking number will be provided immediately upon shipment.

• Combined Shipping: I am happy to combine shipping. Please wait for a revised invoice before paying to receive the discounted rate.

Returns & Satisfaction

• The "Collector’s Guarantee": I use strict Goldmine Grading standards. If you feel the record does not match the description or grading, please contact me directly before leaving feedback. I am a collector first and I value your satisfaction.

• 30-Day Returns: I accept returns within 30 days. The item must be returned in the exact same condition it was received.

• Condition Policy: For opened records, returns are accepted if the item is returned in the same condition as sent. Any new scratches, sleeve scuffs, or damage to the jacket incurred while in the buyer's possession will void the full refund. For factory-sealed records, returns cannot be accepted once the factory seal/shrink wrap has been broken or opened.

• Shipping Costs: Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs unless there was a significant error in the listing.
