Well after many years doing auctions on eBay, I think I'm going to start listing inventory here, without an auction. Priorly, I've always started all auctions at $4.99, but right now I have a lot of records sitting around to comb through, so I think I'll just list a handful every weekend when I can.
Early Prestige mania. Amazing '50s jazz. Most of it sounds like a septet, and has some really amazing artists when they were just starting out. Sadly this isn't a top copy -- if it were I'd be hoarding it most likely. This copy plays quite nicely however, so if you're in the market for a playable original at a fair price, then look no further. I feel like I'm underpricing this one, but willing to let it go considering the weak cover.

Vinyl: (VG (6.0 of 10): Quite respectable considering the cover and age. Short knicks on the album, and some scuffing. It plays with consistent, yet quite low level, background noise. The copy is quite a collectable original; RVG hand etched in runout, has deep grooves, and the original 50th street labels. Seems played but not overly abused for half a century+.
Cover: G (3.0 of 10): I give it some points for presenting OK. Art is aged but decently visible. The over apperas glossy-ish but matte at the same time. Back has some mold. All seams are taped. Some creasing on front. There's a curve to the cover as well. Overall a copy that's together only because of the tape -- but still together I suppose.
VINYL WEIGHT: 148g-150g

Regarding Grading: I always use the standard G-VG+ scale. I, however, absolutely never use the word "mint" because I don't believe I've ever found a mint record -- even sealed ones. The highest I go is VG+. I use a number system to get a bit more specific.
The number: my number system gets a bit more granular. For the record, it's meant to reflect more the audio quality and overall aesthetic. For the cover, it reflects overall preservation, gloss, and damage, if there is any.
A few notes about quality, purchasing, and shipping:
* I always vacuum clean my records. They've all gone through a three step solution process with a vacuum cleaning machine I built.
** All records are shipped in record boxes.
*** All records are shipped with a plastic sleeve, and the records will be shipped OUTSIDE the cover.
Shipping is a standard $4 domestic, and by weight international ... so CHECK YOU INTERNATIONAL PEOPLE. Shipping is expensive these days -- don't shoot the messenger.
