Tudor Lodge - Vertigo 6360043 - Original 1971 New Zealand pressing.
Pressed in NZ from imported UK mothers or stampers. Polygram in NZ did not cut all of the matrix's for local releases at this time so a lot of vinyl from Vertigo, Bronze, Polydor, Fontana etc. was pressed from imported UK mothers or stampers. I expect this was a time/cost/sales driven decision, as was the cover and inner bag format because the number of copies pressed in NZ is probably one of the smallest pressing runs in the world.
The cover is a standard non-laminated sleeve with flipbacks. No foldouts. The front is as the UK front but the back is a unique composite of three of the foldout panels. The NZ version also had no swirl inner bag, just the standard original plastic inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
COVER: The front has some ringwear and edge creases visible on the black area. The edges are worn from 40 odd years of shelf shuffling but have no splits. The back has radio station call letters written at the top and three stickers.
VINYL: The labels are very clean and clear. There are some spindle marks around the hole but these are not generally visible. The vinyl still has a nice high gloss. There are some handling scuffs visible under a light but otherwise looks extremely good. It has been played and handled very little, as it still has some of the trimmed vinyl attached to the outside edge. There is some obvious surface noise in the gaps between songs which gets less further into the sides, not generally heard over the music. There are no loud clicks or thumps. This is what I would expect from a record this old which looks like it has never neen cleaned. I am not going to clean it because I don't have a cleaning machine. This suface noise may well be significantly reduced with a good clean. Please see pictures for details.

Shipping is in a cardboard record mailer with flats for extra protection, the record will be removed from inside the cover to avoid seam splits, each in a plastic sleeve.
