The Turtles:  "Happy Together"

White Whale (WW S-7114).   Released in 1967.

First US pressing (Stereo).

Features the classic title hit single "Happy Together" and "She'd Rather Be With Me".

The Turtles featured Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman (later known as Flo and Eddie in producer roles), who later joined Frank Zappa and his live Mothers Of Invention band.  (I was fortunate to see that Zappa lineup live in 1972 on my college campus in California.  A great show and most memorable night !!!)

Vinyl:  EX

High gloss.  A really great listen.  Some light surface marks present but have little or no impact on the listening experience.  The wax plays just shy of near mint, with faint surface noise audible briefly between some tracks and during a few quiet passages.  Overall outstanding sound quality on this well recorded album.

Labels look good overall but the Side 1 label has two cosmetic flaws: a small amount of color is missing on the outer perimeter and the name "Perry" is written in ink in small letters.

Jacket:  EX 

The jacket is in superb condition, just shy of near mint.

Front and back covers are clear and bright, with rich colors.  A few light creases can be seen, which appear to be minor manufacturing defects, not the result of handling or storage.

No ring wear.           

The seams and spine are near perfect.  No splits.  Only light creases seen, again minor manufacturing defects I believe.

Spine print is crystal clear.
